A group of students interested in film-making worked on a project during Term 2, to enter a new competition run by the DEC called the "Great Schools Show-Off". The aim of the competition was to make a multimedia item that highlighted the great things about your school.

Eloise Collins headed the project that created a short film in the form of a news broadcast, highlighting student achievements across the school. Inverell High's entry was the winner of the New England Region and the school won a digital camera provided by competition sponsors Panasonic, which Eloise accepted from Education Minister Adrian Piccoli at the state finals showcase held in Sydney during Education Week.
