GIYANHA DIRRABUU MURRI AWARDS

Bevan French - Outstanding Sportsman, Secondary School

In his time at primary school, Bevan won many awards for his success in a number of sports. In 2009 he was also named Inverell Young Citizen of the Year as part of the Australia Day Awards.  Now Bevan is one of our students at Inverell High School and he has continued to excel in a number of areas including sport.  We are fortunate to have such an outstanding athlete, Bevan French, as part of our student body. It is not only Bevan's sporting prowess that stands him above other but his sportsmanship and willingness to mentor others which endears him as an excellent role model to young Indigenous Australians.
