The Inverell Tutorial Centre provides a range of specialist programs for students in Years 5-10 whose behaviour can no longer be managed, at least in the short term, in their home school.
Students have the opportunity to spend time in an alternative placement to improve their achievement in the curriculum and their social skills. The expectation is, that following placement in the centre, a student will return to school, move on to TAFE or enter the workforce. Attendance at the tutorial centre provides short-term support for the student.
Students do not need to have an identified disability to access placement in the tutorial centre.
